Description: cypress essential oil is a nearly translucent, pale yellow liquid that smells distinctly of cypress forests (and a hint of pine or juniper berry) with a sweet, balsamic scent.

Uses: varicose veins, hemorrhoids, heavy periods, menstrual regulation, dysmenorrhea, menstrual cramps, menopausal symptoms, severe hot flushes, coughs, bronchitis, whooping cough, acne/oily skin care, excessive perspiration, body odor, asthma, sinusitis, seasonal allergies, muscle pains, wound care, fevers, bug repellents, sleep issues, chest congestion, cold/flu care, disinfectant.
- Applications: topically in salves or massage oils for muscle pains, menstrual cramps, cough, congestion, varicose veins.
- It can be dropped into a bath for relaxation or added to sprays and candles to help repel bugs in the backyard.
- Diffuse cypress essential oil in your bedroom or in a steamy shower to help you breathe easier. Mix 10 drops of cypress essential oil and 4 drops of lemon essential oil per ounce (2 tablespoons) of carrier oil and apply topically to the chest during allergy season to promote a healthy respiratory system.
- When added to a facial toner or moisturizers can tone the skin and combat acne.

Substitutes: fir needle, juniper berry, pine.
